Event Planning/Marketing Internship Program

"I really enjoyed working with WTC-KY. At first, I thought I was in over my head because I didn't have a background in business and wanted to get experience with public relations. The staff at WTC-KY welcomed me and gave me opportunities to work with social media, write press releases and write other copy material to help promote the organization and its services. What I enjoyed most about working with WTC-KY was I learned so much about international business and trade while at the same time getting experience in my field. Attending the Trade Certification was an added bonus I wasn't expecting; as a result I find myself paying attention to not only world news and events but also business news and economic events around the world now. Interning with Callie was awesome and I'm thankful everyone gave me the opportunity. By the end of my internship, I didn't walk away with just public relations skills, I walked away with business skills and insights that helped mold me into a better young professional."
