The World Trade Center Kentucky (WTC-KY) is the leading provider of trade education, trade advisory, and trade missions across the state. Each year, the WTC-KY responds to trade service requests, on-site trade support, and organizes international trade education programs covering topics ranging from international sales contracts to market entry strategies. In addition, the WTC-KY conducts trade missions and Washington, D.C. trade fly-ins, which allow Kentucky businesses to explore a market through site visits, business matchmaking and introductions to government officials.
Trade Advisory Services and Consulting
WTC-KY delivers tailored advisory services to small, medium, and large businesses. Our team can provide services including, but not limited to, Export Readiness Assessment, Global Market Research, Import/Export Operations Review, and Global Supplier Onboarding. We maintain an extensive network of service providers which supplements the WTCKY advisory services.
We deliver customized on-site training to your staff that includes topics such as: Export 101, Import 101, AFTA and other Free Trade Agreements, Passing the U.S. Customs Broker Exam, and finding and listing an International Distributor or Agent. All WTC-KY training includes an exam to test the knowledge of participants and an Executive Summary which outlines future recommendations promoting international growth.

Trade Advocacy
Through our partnership with the National District Export Council (NDEC) and its affiliate, Kentucky District Export Council (KDEC), clients have access to Senate and Congressional leadership in Washington, D.C. Together, we represent and protect your international business interests. We make your voice heard on all matters pertaining to trade agreements, policy changes, tariffs, regulations, and compliance. With KDEC, WTC-KY is the only internationally focused organization in the state advocating for companies big or small in Washington, D.C..
International Business Development and Trade Missions
We offer multi-sector international trade and business missions. We build agendas which include one- on-one meetings with potential clients, distributors, overseas agents, government official and other local entities within the country. These value-added meetings ensure that the objectives of the mission to promote and increase international trade are met. Our U.S. Port Missions offer trade practitioners and industry professionals insight into the inner workings of a port while learning best practices for managing ocean cargo.
