Trade Missions

The World Trade Center International Business Mission provides the following services for mission participants, business professionals and associations:

  • Arranged one-on-one meetings with potential distributor/suppliers.
  • Networking events with guests from local industry and association including World Trade Centers, Chambers of Commerce, and business councils & trade associations that are well connected to the local business community.
  • Group meetings with key government officials and business leaders.
  • Site visits to local facilities, research institution, industry production site where your industry or technologies may be applied.
  • Coverage in the countries where your products are exporting.
  • Pre-trade mission industry potential market analysis research support.
  • Trade show participation. (if applicable)

Georgia Port of Savannah Mission 2019

World Trade Center Kentucky returned to the Port of Savannah, allowing Kentucky business owners with the opportunity to establish connections with prospective buyers and suppliers and meet with government officials. The mission included tour of the port operations where mission attendees gained a deeper understanding of the mechanics of ocean freight movement and network with companies who are leaders in supply chain optimization. In addition to learning about the Port, the Kentucky business owners also met with Georgia business owners and officials.

Canada Aerospace Mission 2018

World Trade Center Kentucky returned from an aerospace-focused trade mission to Canada joined by Lieutenant Governor Jenean Hampton. Attendees conducted one on one business meetings with companies such as Pratt & Whitney Canada, Bombardier Inc. along with many others. We also had the privilege to attend the CORIM luncheon that featured our very own Kentucky native, U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Kelly Craft as the keynote.

Georgia Port Mission 2018

The Port Mission to Georgia allowed Kentucky business owners with the opportunity to establish connections with prospective buyers and suppliers and the opportunity to meet with government officials. Along with a private tour of the port operations, mission attendees gained a deeper understanding of the mechanics of ocean freight movement and network with companies who are leaders in supply chain optimization. Kentucky business representatives will also visited Georgia-based companies who are currently utilizing the Port of Savannah and will attend the Port Day luncheon, which attracts over 1,500 companies.

Canada Trade & Agriculture Mission 2018

The World Trade Center Kentucky (WTC-KY) and Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles hosted the Canada 2018 Trade and Business Mission. Mission attendees were given a country-level political and economic briefing in Canada as well as a business etiquette and culture briefing in Kentucky prior to the mission. In Canada, attendees visited grain farms, participated in round-table discussions, attended an Agriculture and Agribusiness Symposium, went to business-to-business meetings and attended business networking receptions.

Japan 2017

The World Trade Center Kentucky embarked on a business mission to Japan in March 2017! This trip included one-on-one tailored business matchmaking meetings with clients, distributors, and partners, as well as an opportunity to meet with US Embassy officials, a business etiquette and culture workshop prior to the mission, and exploration time in Tokyo!

Mexico Trade Mission 2016

The World Trade Center Kentucky business and trade mission to Mexico visited both Mexico City and Guadalajara in March 2016. Features included one-on-one meetings with Mexican distributors and buyers, arranged through the US Commercial Service, networking business events, and country-level briefings.

Cuba Trade Mission 2015

The World Trade Center Kentucky return exploratory mission to Cuba took place in May 2015 and opened increased opportunities for Kentucky businesses to establish connections for future endeavors, specifically for companies in the automotive, medical, agriculture or education fields.
